In the heart of Chianti Rufina, a short distance south of Florence, lies this charming holiday retreat. Here, you stay on an authentic wine farm where Tuscan country life can still truly be felt. The farm is known for its excellent Rufina wines and homemade olive oil, which find their way to wine lovers worldwide.

The old fattoria was fully restored in 2007 and transformed into an atmospheric agriturismo with eight characteristic apartments. During the renovation, great attention was paid to preserving the original style: thick stone walls, wooden beams, and warm colors create a truly Tuscan atmosphere. A place where you immediately unwind among the vines and olive trees.

The apartment is comfortably furnished and features a living room with a fireplace, sofa, and kitchenette. There are two bathrooms with a shower, sink, toilet, and bidet. The bedrooms consist of one with a double bed and one with two single beds.

Outside, there is a terrace with garden furniture directly by the apartment, where you can enjoy dinner in the evening sun. A barbecue is also available for a cozy evening with Tuscan flavors. The estate features a saltwater pool with panoramic views, sun loungers, and a sun terrace: perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine within reach. Breakfast can also be delivered to the apartment upon request (for a fee). Lovers of farm life can take a tour of the wine cellar and learn all about the winemaking process, followed by a tasting of homemade wines and olive oil. You can also (subject to availability) take a donkey ride across the estate and through the vineyards, a unique experience, especially with children.

The location, just 12 km from Florence, makes this the perfect base for a combination of city and countryside. From Pontassieve, you can reach the center of Florence by train in just 15 minutes.

Discover Tuscany and the Chianti Rufina

The agriturismo is located just outside Pontassive, ideal for excursions in the region. Casentino National Park is nearby and perfect for hikes accompanied by a local guide. Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, and Volterra are also easily accessible for a day trip.

In Pontassieve, you will find a supermarket, pharmacy, bar, and various trattorias serving authentic Tuscan dishes. Several restaurants are located less than 5 km away, and there are daily markets with local products in Florence and the surrounding villages. And of course: you are in the Chianti Rufina region, so wine tastings in the area are definitely not to be missed.
