Nestled among the rolling hills south of Florence, in the heart of the Chianti Rufina wine region, lies this charming agriturismo. Here, you will experience authentic Tuscan country life. The farm consists of eight atmospheric apartments, each with an authentic character and a warm ambiance. You will stay on a working wine farm, famous for its excellent Rufina wines, some of which are exported, as well as its delicious olive oil from its own pressing. In 2007, the historic wine farm was fully restored, preserving its original details such as wooden beams, natural stone walls, and terracotta floors. You can literally taste the love for tradition in everything here.

Charming apartment in Pontassieve with a view

The apartment features a living room with a fireplace, sofa, and kitchenette, two bathrooms with shower, sink, toilet, and bidet, and two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Outside, in the garden by the pool, there is a seating area with garden furniture (not directly attached to the apartment) and a barbecue. You reach the apartment via a small stone footbridge from the garden, where the entrance is level with the terrace—a charming detail that contributes to the rural character. The estate features a saltwater pool with panoramic views of the vineyards and the rolling landscape. Surrounding the pool is a spacious sun terrace with sun loungers. Breakfast can be provided in the apartment upon request (€). A special detail: six donkeys live on the property, with which short tours through the vineyards can be taken upon request—a fun activity for young and old. You can also visit the wine cellar, receive an explanation of the wine production process, and, of course, taste the wines and olive oil from the estate. Taking a few bottles home is almost inevitable.

Between city and nature

The agriturismo is located just outside the village of Pontassieve, featuring a supermarket, pharmacy, bar, and various trattorias serving traditional Tuscan dishes. Within 5 kilometers, you will find several excellent restaurants. The surrounding area offers countless opportunities for excursions: take a walk in Casentino National Park, visit the medieval towns of Siena, Arezzo, Volterra, and Pisa, or enjoy a day among the vineyards of Chianti Rufina. In Florence and surrounding villages, there are daily local markets with fresh regional products. Whether you come for the culture, the nature, or the wine, here you will find the perfect balance between urban inspiration and Tuscan tranquility.
