This beautifully situated Tuscan farmhouse is located near the village of Buonconvento, in the heart of the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. It is a peaceful place for those seeking relaxation, but also an ideal base for excursions to Montalcino, Siena, Pienza, and Montepulciano.

Holiday farm in Buonconvento with wellness

The agriturismo consists of two sections located approximately 1,5 km apart. In one section, you will find hotel rooms, a restaurant with a terrace, a lounge, a bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, and a small football pitch. The other section houses the apartments, along with an indoor pool with a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty center, a riding school, and some playground equipment for children. Bicycles are available for rent on site. Additionally, the estate is an organic farm spanning over 700 hectares, where cereals, legumes, and spelt, among other crops, are grown. Guests can participate in guided tours with tastings, cooking workshops, wine tastings, horse riding lessons, and organized bicycle tours. The heated indoor pool with a mild salt level is pleasant during cooler periods. Those wishing to swim outdoors can use the pool at the main building, which is accessible by car or on foot. The apartment itself features a living area with a seating area and kitchenette, two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two single beds), and a bathroom with a shower. There is no private terrace, but there are seating areas in the garden that guests may use.

Surroundings & excursions

The Val d'Orcia is on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is famous for its tranquil hills, cypress avenues, and small chapels such as the Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta. From the agriturismo, the most beautiful routes and views are within easy reach. Buonconvento is a charming, partially walled village and belongs to I Borghi Più Belli d'ItaliaMontalcino is located nearby and is the heart of Brunello wine. The Chianti region is also easily accessible and lends itself perfectly to wine tastings. Siena is 30 km away and perfect for a day trip. The train from Buonconvento is a convenient alternative for those who do not wish to park in the city. Furthermore, Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, and the Bagno Vignoni hot springs are all within a short driving distance. For cycling enthusiasts, this is a unique place: the route of the famous Eroica cycling tour runs across the estate itself. In October, the Nova Eroica and Eroica Montalcino are organized locally.
