Near the residence there is the town of Santa Maria La Palma, where you can do groceries, but also find a restaurant, a bank, a pharmacy, and a supermarket. The residence is 7 km far from Alghero’s airport and in 10 minutes by car you can also reach Alghero. Alghero is a cozy medieval town with a picturesque historic centre where you will find welcoming bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlours. You can join various boat tours from the port of Alghero. 

Closer by is the fishermen’s village of Fertilia, where you can find some shops, pizzerias, and a bar. A beautiful white sandy beach is 5 km from the property and extends to the village of Fertilia, where the Alghero Fertilia international airport is also located.

Near Alghero, you can visit the imponent Nuraghe of Palmavera. Nuraghes are mysterious stone towers that were built during the Bronze Age (1500 BC) and afterwards all over Sardinia. The special thing about these towers is that they are made of large stones that are stacked on top of each other without the use of cements. In Sardinia there is an estimated total of 8000 nuraghes, and the archaeology scholars still have no clue about the people who built them, their culture and religion nor the purpose of the structures.

The Nuraghi are a characteristic symbol of Sardinia. You can see them all over the island, especially in central Sardinia. The most famous, that can be visited, is the complex of Su Nuraxi (on the Unesco World Heritage List), the Nuraghe Losa in Abbasanta and Palmavera in Alghero.

Another must-see in Alghero’s area is a visit to Neptune's Dripstone Caves. You can reach these by boat (there are organized boat tours of approx. 30 minutes) and by car (approx. 45 minutes). If you go by car you can take the stairs from the lighthouse to the cave. This staircase, the “Escala del Cabirol” - the goat staircase - is carved into the rock and has 660 steps.

If you would like to have a bike tour of the area it is possible to rent a bike in alghero. Among the possibilities, you can have an archaeological bike tour or a vineyard bike tour! For more information and reservations check algherorentabike.com.

Santa Maria La Palma 1 km, Alghero 10 km, Fertilia 4 km, Olbia 129 km (ferry port and airport). 

Fantastically beautiful location. Nice, spacious apartment. Very helpful people at the reception. We were disappointed with the quality of the food in the restaurant.

Apartments, beach, pool and staff I am all very satisfied with. Surroundings and apartments are clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and fluent in English. Unfortunately, there is no WiFi in the apartment. Without a car or scooter you are dependent on taxis which are very expensive or on public transport which is not very active. At the park itself it is pricey and the only supermarket there is, everything is very expensive. Taking a boat trip is recommended, so you can still get to the most special places. This place is not suitable for the disabled.

Residence Corallo is a beautiful location. A real agriturismo. It is all very well cared for and tidy. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The tour of the entire estate and the explanation they give about the ins and outs on the estate that they offer to all guests is also great. Afterwards, they organize a cozy BBQ with all guests. Of course you are not obliged to participate in this, but it is definitely recommended. The children also had a great time, which is also very important. The surroundings, the activities and places of interest in this region are definitely worth a visit. We would love to come back here again.

Very nice stay for family with young children. Lots of animals on the residence, nice pool and nice playground. Stay spacious, so always quiet. Friendly staff and plenty of shade for the warmer days.

Beautiful location, an oasis of peace in June! A location where they make extensive use of home-grown products and make their own meat products from their own pigs. Great stay and exactly what we were looking for!

Beautiful place, friendly staff, tasty food in the restaurant. Cottage is quietly located with beautiful views. The bedroom is spacious. The living room / kitchen is a bit small if you have to sit inside (due to the weather). Fortunately, we were able to sit on the large terrace.

With our family of four we stayed for five days in the Residence on the estate. A spacious apartment with large garden, BBQ area and two terraces, one of which is covered. Swimming pool at 5 meters walk, almost private. Share with four other apartments but the residents did not use it. There are two more pools on the Borgo that we were also allowed to use. There is plenty of outdoor space for the children to play.
