Agriturismo Hotel Borgo di Campagna
Hotel Borgo di Campagna in Sardinia is quietly located in the countryside, not far from Olbia and the beach of Porto San Paolo. All rooms were tastefully refreshed in 2019 in a modern style but with an unmistakable Sardinian character.
The hotel is surrounded by a park of about 10 hectares full of Sardinian nature: Mediterranean shrubs (macchia), ancient oaks, cork oaks, and fruit trees. The hotel also has a vegetable and herb garden. A wellness path runs through this garden, so you can just come across animals such as ponies and peacocks that can roam freely here.
The hotel also has a tennis court, a 20 meters long swimming pool, and a restaurant with a lovely veranda where you can dine al fresco with a view of the swimming pool. Staying at this hotel, you will be in the front row for a beautiful Mediterranean sunset. The location and the view are remarkable, but that's not all! This hotel has something special for the foodies: the menu includes traditional Sardinian dishes from the Gallura, as the region is called in this part of Sardinia. Fresh products are used from their own vegetable garden.
The part of the coast where the hotel is located, with its unspoiled nature and stunning views, is the perfect place for peace-seekers and nature lovers. But there is also something for the sporty and active thrill seekers that want some challenges during their holiday tour in Sardinia. You can make beautiful walks or mountain bike rides directly from your hotel room. At the reception, they can inform you extensively about all activities and trips you can do in the area for a memorable Sardinia holiday.

The hotel is approximately 14 km from Olbia. Olbia has a ferry port and an airport and is therefore easily accessible from the Netherlands and from mainland Italy. For an additional fee, the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the hotel from the port or airport. Besides the entrance to Sardinia, Olbia is a city where you can definitely spend more time. The Corso Umberto I is the city's main shopping street, where you can enjoy great shopping. If you are interested in the history of the island, you can visit the Archaeological Museum. The museum has a special position on an island off Olbia, Peddone. Olbia is a city with a long history and you can see the remains of this in various places. There is the Punic Wall on the east side of the city and the Pozzo Sacro, the sacred well from Nuragic times. For a nice view of the area you can go to the ruins of the Castello di Pedres on the south side of the city.
The beaches of Le Saline and Porto Taverna are about 10 to 15 minutes from your hotel. You can enjoy various water sports activities here, such as windsurfing and kite surfing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving.
For the best snorkeling and diving spot, you can take a boat to Tavolara Island. Tavolara is about 18 km off the coast off Olbia. On Tavolara itself you can also take beautiful walks accompanied by a guide. A canyoning trip is also super fun, between March and July this is possible at the river Pitrisconi. The river runs at San Teodoro and Padru in the rocky part of the Gallura. You will find gorges, waterfalls and natural water pools. The canyoning route here is suitable for beginners.
Of course you can't skip the Costa Smeralda from Olbia either. Porto Cervo and Porto Rotonda are the hotspots when it comes to going out, luxurious nightclubs, beautiful designer shops but also wonderful beaches.
Near the hotel you can make beautiful hikes through the typical Gallura landscape. By car you are in a few minutes at the Lu Caminu di Falchi path, the path of the Falcons. It is a route of about 11 km and it takes about 4 hours. Also nice is a walk at Monte Nieddu, about half an hour from the hotel. A beautiful mountain range with forests, small lakes and waterfalls.
Olbia 14 km, beach Le Saline 16 km, Porto Cervo 43 km, Porto Taverna 13 km, Porto Rotondo 31 km, Palau 55 km, San Teodoro 19 km, Monte Nieddu 38 km, Cagliari 262 km.
