Beautiful holiday villa, located on the Punta Sardegna peninsula. In the large, terraced garden of 2000m2 there are plenty of nice places to unwind and relax. Not only the large garden with saltwater pool offers a fantastic view over the surrounding landscape, also from the villa you can enjoy a breath-taking view towards the sea and the islands of the Maddalena archipelago.
The entrance of the villa is connected to the gardens by stone stairs. At the entrance, you will find the living room with sitting area and satellite TV, the kitchen and separate dining room, from the living room access to a spacious terrace (partly covered) with beautiful panoramic views towards the sea; from the kitchen you have access to a covered terrace with dining area, sitting area and a large barbecue; bedroom 1 with a double bed; small bedroom 2 with 2 single beds; bathroom with shower; bedroom 3 with double bed and adjoining bathroom with shower; bedroom 4 with double bed and bathroom with bath; this last bedroom has access to a small veranda and can be reached from the garden or through one of the other bedrooms.
The fifth bedroom is in the basement (at pool level and therefore garden level), accessible via a staircase from the living room or from the garden. This spacious bedroom has a double bed, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. For sun lovers, there is a lovely extra sun terrace on the first floor, again with beautiful views, access via an external staircase. There is a laundry room with washing machine and ironing equipment. Parking is available at the house, partially covered. The site is completely fenced.
On request and for a fee, it is possible to arrange a home cooking service to get acquainted with the excellent local dishes of Sardinia.

Villa Rafael is a few steps from the beach, ideal for summer holidays! Nelson Beach is a 5-minute walk away. A beautiful sandy beach on a bay with clear water, there are no facilities. More amenities can be found at Palau's beaches.
Within walking distance is the small village of Porto Raphael (1 km). Here you will find, among other things, restaurants, and a charming square right on the beach. The center of Palau from where you can visit the Maddelena archipelago is 4 km away. Porto Cervo is 20 km away and the airport and port of Olbia are 45 km away.
This holiday villa in Sardinia is located 4 km from Palau with its lively night market. The ferry also leaves here for the various islands of the La Maddalena archipelago. Well worth a visit.
Of the dozens of islands of the La Maddalena archipelago, 7 are inhabited: La Maddalena, Razzoli, Santo Stefano, Caprera, Santa Maria, Spargi and Budelli. All islands of the archipelago are part of the “Parco Nazionale Arcipelago della Maddalena” nature reserve. The largest island, and also the most visited is La Maddalena. Caprera (the island where Garibaldi died, one of the 'fathers of the country' of Italy), is a paradise for snorkelers and divers and with a little luck you could spot some dolphins here!
Self-guided boat excursions from Palau:
- Half day excursion: The National Park of the La Maddalena Archipelago.
- Boat trip along Costa Smeralda including the jet set port of Porto Cervo.
7 kilometers west of Palau is the windsurfing paradise called Porto Pollo (also known as Portu Puddu) with the nearby island of Isola dei Gabbiani.
A few kilometers west of Porto Pollo are the long sandy beaches of Santa Teresa, followed by the peninsula of Capo Testa. Capo Testa is characterized by fascinating rock formations along idyllic bays, a spectacle that is amazing during the sunset. From the lighthouse on Capo Testa you can make wonderful walks along the various hiking routes. Along these paths, it is indicated with signposting which flora and fauna is present in the area. The perfect place for lovers of hiking, birdwatching, nature photography and outdoors.
Taste the famous DOCG Vermentino di Gallura and the powerful red wines of the DOC Cannonau at the famous Vigne Surrau wine estate. The wine estate is located on the road to Porto Cervo. The owners will give you a tour of the estate with the wine cellar, art gallery and wine canteen where the wines can be tasted. In 1997 the Surrau brothers planted the first vineyards. The first harvest was in 2004. From that moment on, the wines are exported to countries all over the world.
In the summer months, the summer festival "L" Estate Olbiese" takes place in the center of Olbia (approx. 45 km from the accommodation). A cultural festival with concerts, performances, readings, and cabaret shows. For culture lovers, the archaeological museum, the church of San Simplicio and the church of San Paolo in the historic center are certainly worth a visit.
The ferry leaves from Genova, Livorno or Piombino to Olbia. Sardinia can therefore be perfectly combined with Tuscany. Combine with a holiday home on the Tuscan coast or a pleasant agriturismo in the green hills of Tuscany.
