The Sarda Charme Resort is an atmospheric hotel with 26 rooms, in a wonderfully quiet location surrounded by centuries-old olive and cork oak trees, with a view on the idyllic “Lago del Liscia” and close to the famous Costa Smeralda. The rooms are in small villas, beautifully terraced against a mountain slope.
The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, situated in a nice location with shady spots, ideal for relaxing! The houses, built in the typical country style of the Gallura region, are furnished with all the comforts and in typical Sardinian style. The cottages are surrounded by beautiful and well-maintained gardens.
Sarda Charme restort has a restaurant that serves different international dishes as well as the best of the traditional Sardinian dishes prepared with typical Sardinian ingredients. The restaurant has a dining room and a covered terrace with a veranda on the Lago di Liscia, where you can enjoy the Sardinian cuisine and the specialities from Gallura in combination with a good glass of wine. The menu changes daily, so you will have the chance of trying new dishes every day!
The hotel offers bicycles for free, that you can use to explore the area. At the hotel there is also an open-air fitness area under the veranda, equipped with all that you need for your workout! There is also a wellness centre, where you can book relaxing massage treatments.

The area surrounding the Sarda Charme Resort is rich of archaeological sites and natural attractions. This part of Gallura has important Nuragic sites that can be visited, such as the nuraghe Albucciu and the mysterious tomb of the giants, and the ancient burial site “Coddu ‘Ecchiu”. The are in which the hotel was built, the lake “Lago del Liscia” is one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Gallura region. In this part of Sardinia you can see granite mountains that were shaped by years of water and wind, densely wooded valleys with ancient oak trees and Mediterranean bushes. Must-see: on the shores of the lake, in a locality named Santu Baltolu di Carana it is possible to see a sanctuary with millenary olive trees, the most ancient of which, according to the university of Sassari, is 4000 years old and was named “Il Patriarca della Natura”. The tree is a Natural Monument, and it is possible to pay it a visit with a guided tour.
Lago del Liscia
The lake is located between Luras, Sant’Antonio di Gallura, Arzachena and Luogosanto. It is used as a reservoir lake, so its waters are used for irrigation and as a drinking water supply when needed. The water comes from the dam on the river Liscia, from which the lake got its name. The area and the shores around the lake are perfect for hiking, mountain biking and quad tours and all sort of outdoor adventures. It is also possible to book boat trips, sailing excursions and to explore the lake with kayaks. It is also possible to have an excursion on the steamboat “Pollux”. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to swim in this lake.
The lake can be reached by car or motorcycle, or using the green train, that works specifically for tourists: il Trenino Verde. Check the website to discover the possibilities!
Sant’ Antonio di Gallura
The town of Sant’t Antonio di Gallura is located 357-meter-high on a hill. You can reach the town for your gorceries, but also restaurants and bars. The historic centre is definitely worth a visit, with its beautiful old churches. You can take great pictures from the panoramic point of Lu Nuraco, from where you can enjoy a view of the town and the green hills around.
Cannigione
This locality is famous for the beautiful beaches, among the best beaches in Sardinia:
- La Mannena – 300 meters long, perfect for snorkelling. You can find this beach 4.5 km north of Cannigione.
- La Conia – 240 meters long, also perfect for snorkelling. It is located south of the Tanca Manna beach, in the gulf of Arzachena, 2 km north of Cannigione.
- Uticeddu – 350 meters long, ideal for windsurfing, only 3 km from Cannigione. It is a wide beach, so its also perfect for playing beach games with the kids. In the north of this beach there are some small beaches that you can explore!
- Barca Bruciata – 800 meters long, 6 km from Palau, in the gulf of Arzachena. From here you will have a spectacular view of the Islands of La Maddalena.
